1.“Paranormal Activity 4” (10/19/12)
The Paranormal Activity saga continues on October 19 with the fourth installment of the hit micro-budget franchise. Since “Paranormal Activity” got wide release in 2009, a sequel has followed every year around the same time.
The series has been working backwards the first film, and part four will be the first true sequel. Audiences will finally get the slow-paced and chilling explanation of what happens to Katie and her nephew Hunter, now named Robby, after she abducted him following the supernatural events of the previous films.
The “Paranormal Activity” movies have earned almost $300 million, compared to the $8-million-15-thousnad they collectively cost to make, according to Box Office Mojo.
2. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (10/26/12)
Another film with franchise appeal is the newest “Silent Hill” film, “Revelation 3D.” Despite the fact that the movie doesn’t look to have any continuity to its 2006 predecessor or the video game series
.
The movie may have more of a resemblance to the video game than the last adaptation, but the storyline in this follows a teenage girl who travels to another dimension to Silent Hill and finds out that she isn’t who she thinks she is. There’s talk about being the chosen to destroy demons, and CGI effects that play into the 3D style of the film.
3. Citadel Trailer (October 26, 2012)
Tommy Cowley lives a quiet life in a decaying apartment complex with his highly pregnant wife. The couple is attacked one day by a group of hooded young thugs, and after a shocking act of violence, Tommy is left to raise his newborn daughter alone. So shaken by the events that he's developed extreme agoraphobia, Tommy alternates days hiding out indoors in his new apartment from imagined threats and intense therapy sessions aimed at bringing him back to normalcy. When the same hooded gang, seemingly intent on kidnapping his daughter, begins terrorizing his life again, he's torn between his paralyzing fear and protective parental instinct. With the help of a vigilante priest who has uncovered the genesis of this ruthless, potentially supernatural gang, Tommy must overcome his fears and venture into the heart of the abandoned tower block known as the Citadel to save his family.
4. Halloween 3D (October 25,2012)
When Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 was confirmed to be a box office failure, producers vowed to come back with a better one. The upcoming horror movie Halloween 3D is basically the same slasher gore filled Halloween party that we have seen countless times. This time the action is taken to another dimension as the horror movie will be released in full 3D to triple all the fun and action! The details are hard to find about Halloween 3D and whatever info there is available about this upcoming horror movie confirms that it will be a hit this time around!
5. Wrong Turn 5 (October 23)
“Wrong Turn 5″ is directed by Declan O’Brien and stars Doug Bradley, Roxanne McKee, Camilla Arfwedson, Borislav Iliev, Peter Brooke, and more “In the next chilling chapter of Wrong Turn, a small West Virginia town is hosting the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where throngs of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals kill the fun when they trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are dying for a good time.”
