The Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the hotly anticipated smartphones of this year. The phone has already been spotted in various leaks. Now an alleged retail box of the device has surfaced online that gas revealed its colour options. In addition, a alleged screenshot of the device has also been leaked online, which has revealed a few specs of the phone.
The Xiaomi Mi 5’s retail box leak suggests that the phone will be launched in gold, pink, white and black hues. As per the earlier leaks, the phone will arrive with a fingerprint sensor that will be integrated into the home button. The Mi 5 will allegedly arrive in multiple variants, including a Plus variant.
The leaked screenshot suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will offer dual-SIM functionality and NFC support. The specs mentioned by the screenshot are in line with the recent listing of the device on the Gearbest online retailer.
Recently, Xiaomi’s Co-Founder and CEO Lei Jun revealed on Weibo that the Mi 5 would be launched in China on February 24th. The company's Global VP, Hugo Barra, recently posted on Facebook saying that Xiaomi would also be hosting a media preview event for the Mi 5 at MWC in Barcelona on the same dates.
